Hiking, camping and 4WD in the Mojave Desert, Death Valley and Eastern Sierra

These days I'm driving a Toyota FJ Cruiser on desert dirt roads instead of the 10-ton bicycle of all those years past–and then hiking from there. Things change!

We drive around and find a nice, quiet campsite in the Highland Lakes area

We'll do a hike in this area tomorrow morning. For now, it's beer and relaxation, and enjoying the scenery.
