Hiking, camping and 4WD in the Mojave Desert, Death Valley and Eastern Sierra

These days I'm driving a Toyota FJ Cruiser on desert dirt roads instead of the 10-ton bicycle of all those years past–and then hiking from there. Things change!

While driving through Cima, I take note of the old houses that have fallen down

Several years ago, these houses were still standing, but things don't last forever.
