Hiking, camping and 4WD in the Mojave Desert, Death Valley and Eastern Sierra

These days I'm driving a Toyota FJ Cruiser on desert dirt roads instead of the 10-ton bicycle of all those years past–and then hiking from there. Things change!

I pull in at the Cima Store, but it's closed (again)

It often seems closed when I pass by, but I've caught it open on many occasions as well.
