Hiking, camping and 4WD in the Mojave Desert, Death Valley and Eastern Sierra

These days I'm driving a Toyota FJ Cruiser on desert dirt roads instead of the 10-ton bicycle of all those years past–and then hiking from there. Things change!

Cedar Canyon Road ends at Kelso-Cima Road and I turn right

The slow curve of Cima Dome sits on the horizon on the right, with Marl Mountains on the left. The dirt road straight ahead that twists up the hill is the old Mojave Road.
