Hiking, camping and 4WD in the Mojave Desert, Death Valley and Eastern Sierra

These days I'm driving a Toyota FJ Cruiser on desert dirt roads instead of the 10-ton bicycle of all those years past–and then hiking from there. Things change!

After a tasty Panamint Springs buffet breakfast, I drive over to the Nadeau Trail

The road surface is fairly dry here today, compared to the light mud that I encountered when I came over here a few days ago and turned back.
