Hiking, camping and 4WD in the Mojave Desert, Death Valley and Eastern Sierra

These days I'm driving a Toyota FJ Cruiser on desert dirt roads instead of the 10-ton bicycle of all those years past–and then hiking from there. Things change!

I've just driven through the town of Lee Vining and now seeing the Mono Craters

Still no campsite chosen, but I think I know where I'll go. It's so windy tonight: those beautiful open desert-like areas that I like so much won't suffice tonight.
