Hiking, camping and 4WD in the Mojave Desert, Death Valley and Eastern Sierra

These days I'm driving a Toyota FJ Cruiser on desert dirt roads instead of the 10-ton bicycle of all those years past–and then hiking from there. Things change!

Maybe all this fencing is intended to keep the wild burros out here from contaminating the spring water

I'm not sure the goal is being met, with so much burro feces all around.
